Please contact Animal Law Attorneys, LLC for detailed information on legal fees and costs related to Animal Law representation.  Representation in all Animal Law cases requires the payment of a Retainer Fee which is paid when you hire the firm, Animal Law Attorneys, LLC.  Retainer fees range from $500 to $1,500 depending on the complexity of the case.  Attorney fees are $150 per hour for all Animal Law cases.  In many cases, you may need an initial Consultation, which costs $125 per hour.  An attorney-client relationship is not created or implied in any manner until receipt of the retainer and hourly fee representation agreement and retainer fee.

Detailed monthly invoices are sent to all clients for legal fees and costs.  Payment arrangements can be made for larger, more complex cases. Below is a sample Hourly Fee Representation Agreement that is used in all Animal Law cases handled by Animal Law Attorneys, LLC.

ANIMAL LAW ATTORNEYS, LLC, RETAINER  AND  HOURLY  FEE REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT

1.                  Engagement & Scope of Legal Services to be Performed:  CLIENT, CLIENT'S ADDRESS (hereinafter “Client”), retain Animal Law Attorneys, LLC (“Firm”) to represent them in connection with any and all claims involving (issue and facts of case) and such other matters as Client may from time to time request and Firm may agree to perform. 

2.                  Compensation, Billing & Expenses:  Client agrees to pay Firm’s fees on the basis set forth herein.  Client is responsible for the entire amount of the legal fees for services rendered.  Firm will charge by the hour at the prevailing rates charged by the Firm for time that its legal personnel devote to the representation of Client.  An ATTORNEY/PARTNER  of the Firm, will be principally involved in providing such legal services.  The current hourly rate for our legal services in matters of this type is $150.00 per hour for attorneys and $85.00 per hour for paralegals.  These rates will remain in effect, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Client and Firm. 

          3.      Firm will bill client on a monthly basis.  If Client fails to pay Firm’s statement within  30 days     of billing, Firm may withdraw from representation by giving Client written notice of such  withdrawal.  Acceptance of late payment by the Firm shall not be a waiver of Client’s obligation to make timely payments for legal services rendered.    All legal fees incurred in collecting earned legal fees are to be paid in full by the client  .                                                                                                    

4.      Retainer Deposit:  Client shall pay Firm a retainer deposit of $__________ to be applied against legal fees and a separate retainer of $ _____________ to be applied against costs.  The retainer is due now and shall be deposited into Firm’s trust account to withdraw funds to pay such fees and costs.  From time to time, Client may be required to supplement the retainer deposit. 

    5.         Disclaimer of Guarantee:  Firm has made no promise or guarantees      to       Client about  the outcome of the representation undertaken by Firm.                                                                

6.      Client Duties:  Client shall cooperate with Firm, shall pay Firm’s bills in a timely manner and shall keep Firm informed of Client’s address and telephone number.

The undersigned has read, understands and agrees to all of the terms of this Retainer and Hourly Fee Representation Agreement.
