About Melissa Cordon, a Florida Animal and Pet Law Attorney.

Melissa A. Cordon, a Tampa native, received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson College of Law in 2005 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 2002. While at Stetson, Melissa was an awarding–winning member of Stetson’s Moot Court Board, and served as the 2004 law student division liaison to the Solo and Small Firm Practitioners Division of the American Bar Association.

Melissa began her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General in Tampa. While with the Office of the Attorney General, Melissa carried a caseload in excess of 100 at any given time, enabling her to develop sound negotiation and litigation skills.

Melissa has extensive knowledge of all facets of civil practice, and is licensed to practice throughout the state of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Melissa is an animal lover and owner, and has devoted her practice to advocating on behalf of individuals in need of assistance with animal legal issues.
